Nurses & Company took excellent care of my dad. All the caregivers were great. I had peace of mind knowing he was always cared for in a professional yet loving way.

Frequently asked questions.
Plain answers to what families ask us most — before the first visit.
What is a Living Room Visit?
It’s a free, no-obligation visit from one of our Care Managers — in your home, at a time that works for you. We get to know your situation, answer your questions, and build a care plan together. Most families tell us it’s the most useful conversation they’ve had in the process.
How quickly can care start?
In many cases, we can begin care within 24–48 hours of your Living Room Visit. If your situation is urgent, call us — a real person answers day or night, and we’ll do everything we can to move fast.
What payment do you accept?
We accept private pay and long-term care insurance (LTCI). If you have an LTCI policy, we can help you activate your benefits and handle the paperwork. We do not currently accept Medicaid or VA benefits — if you need Medicaid-funded care, call 211, Missouri’s social services helpline, and they’ll connect you with providers who can help.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
No. There are no long-term contracts. You can adjust hours, pause, or stop care at any time. We earn your trust every week.
Who are your caregivers?
Every caregiver is background-checked, trained, and supervised by our team. We don’t just assign whoever is available — we match caregivers to families based on personality, experience, and needs. If the fit isn’t right, we’ll make a change.
What if I have long-term care insurance?
We work with all major LTCI carriers. Many families don’t realize their policy covers in-home care. We’ll help you understand your benefits and handle the claims process so you can use what you’ve been paying for.
What if my parent doesn’t think they need help?
This is one of the most common situations we see. Our Care Managers are experienced at having that conversation with compassion and without pressure. The Living Room Visit is low-key — it often helps when a trusted outside voice confirms what the family has been seeing.
What happens if I call after hours?
A real person answers — day or night, every day of the year. No voicemail, no phone tree. If something happens at 2 a.m., you’ll talk to a human.
Let’s figure out the right care.
